What Hosting From $49/Month Actually Includes

August 21, 2026 · 7 min read

If your Orlando shop has a website, customers already use it — on a phone, on a Saturday, from Winter Park or Kissimmee. Hosting is the work that keeps that site reachable: the server stays updated, HTTPS stays on, and there is a backup you can restore if something goes wrong.

Orlando Web & IT website hosting and management starts from $49/month. It is not a redesign. It is not your business email. It is care for a site that already exists.

Hosting is the house staying locked, patched, and backed up. It is not a new paint job, and it is not the mailbox.

The monthly line is the server, the lock, and the calendar — not a new website.

What you get

For a typical brochure or booking site:

  • Updates. The server and the software in front of it get patched on a schedule.
  • HTTPS / SSL. Certificates renew. Visitors see a lock, not a browser warning. More in SSL explained.
  • Backups you can restore. Copies on a cadence, kept long enough to be useful — not a folder named backup-final. See backups you can restore.
  • A check that the site is up. If it does not answer, you get a plain-language note.
  • Domain and DNS help when it matters. Who holds the registrar, where nameservers point, whether a CDN sits in front — written down so the next change is not a guess.

If you also want someone in the pages every month (forms, plugins, “did this 404?”), that is a maintenance checklist you can run yourself, or website support if you would rather not.

Hosting

We look after the server, the certificate, and the backup. You keep the content. The matching service is website hosting & management.

Storm weeks and tourist Saturdays in Central Florida still mean phones. An expired certificate or a down site is a closed door, not a branding problem.

What you do not get

Hosting does not replace these other jobs:

  • A new website. Design and custom apps start from $800 and are quoted to the job. Why a real site still matters.
  • Business email. you@yourdomain.com belongs on Google Workspace or Microsoft 365, not on a cheap “email included” panel. Professional business email.
  • Unlimited content edits. Small changes and CMS help live under website & application support (from $75/month).
  • SEO rankings or ads. Hosting keeps the page reachable. Local SEO is a different skill.
  • Overnight coverage. Regular hours. After-hours work is extra and quoted first.

Is this the right size?

This line is for one live site that customers already use. If you also need office Wi‑Fi, staff laptops, and printers watched, that is managed IT (often from $199/mo) or a written quote — not a bigger hosting invoice.

A short hosting check

  1. Who can log into the domain, the server, and the website editor?
  2. When was the last backup actually restored — not just copied?
  3. Open the site on a phone on cellular. Note what is slow or broken.
  4. Decide what you need: hosting care, help in the editor, or a rebuild. Those are three different conversations.

If the site is a one-page experiment you will throw away, a cheap shared plan is honest. If it is how customers find you on a Saturday, this is the boring fix.

Want that conversation for a Central Florida site? Contact Orlando Web & IT. Bring the domain name. We will tell you whether from $49/month fits, or whether you need something else next to it.
